GRAD-itude Gala reporting inaccurate and irresponsible

I was disappointed when I read the reviews of the senior events. I found the review of the GRAD-itude Gala to be extremely unprofessional and just wrong. There was obviously no research conducted before a verdict was assigned.

This year will be the first time for the event to take place - so the senior who was quoted could not have heard how "bad" it was last year.

This event has been spearheaded by our senior class vice president, Sarah Olson, with minimal support. Sarah worked months to collect a list of nominations, and personally delivered handwritten invitations to the professors. She designed this event to allow an opportunity for students to show gratitude to those professors and staff who have supported them during their years here.

The review is simply insulting to anyone who was invited or helped to plan the event. Giving the event no stars when the lowest rating was one and publishing incorrect ticket information shows how poorly the article was researched and edited.

Tickets are available at Ticket Central in Crosby, not Student Activities. This event could be a great one if students decide to show some support for this project. But I fear the false review will stop most students from buying tickets and the event won't be held again next year. This would be a shame for those professors who should be recognized for their hard work and those students who want to thank those who have made an impact on their college career.
