Greek Week will hit the Gonzaga University campus March 22-28. This program is an interdepartmental event sponsored by Gonzaga’s Classical Civilizations Department and facilitated by faculty members from the departments of Classical Civilizations, Philosophy, Religious Studies, and the Theater Arts Program.
Images of warmth and of home filled the Jundt printmaking studio late Wednesday. Orange stove tops, hot pink quilts, and green cookie cutters donned the large print canvases. This semester, advanced printmaking students, under the direction of art professor Mary Farrell, are creating these images for display at an unlikely place — the annual Spring Dance Concert.
Gonzaga Chamber Singers travel for first time in six years, bring music and mission to China
The Gonzaga University Chamber Choir traveled to Shanghai and Beijing, China over spring break sharing their vocal talents with three local schools. The choir’s first performance was at Shanghai University, where it sang a Chinese folk song called, “Crescent moon now floating by,” to the university choir.
A cultural opportunity has arrived for students fascinated with the world. This spring the Gonzaga University program for students practicing English as a second language is looking for volunteers. The Gonzaga student reputation is one that involves an interest in international issues, which has been displayed through the popularity of Gonzaga Study Abroad programs and the fact that Gonzaga University has been ranked seventh among universities, with a high volunteer class in the Peace Corps and other international volunteer programs.
Marketing students get real-world experience, promote fitness with Diamondback Challenge
Real-life experience: It’s something that Gonzaga University classes stress, but how many actually deliver? Marketing’s 490 Promotional Project class has for close to 15 years now, and this year the 15 students have teamed up with Diamondback Bicycle Company to put on a promotional event on campus called the Diamondback Challenge.
