Online Exclusive | Soccer left out of sports conversation

I have to say, as an avid sports fan, it is indeed an exciting time of the year. (Seems like there is always a game of some sort for your viewing pleasure), however the article 'US pro sports: A major discussion' referring only to baseball, basketball, football, and hockey, was a bit of a disappointment. We are forgetting about the MOST popular sport IN THE WORLD = FUTBOL aka SOCCER! The MLS teams are in the midst of vying for playoff contention and it is getting pretty hairy. Seattle, LA, San Jose and New York are among the few who have secured their spots. OK, yes the MLS is not the best soccer to watch, but if you look internationally that's where the real drama is happening. You thought Jersey Shore fights were juicy, well think again. Just the other day, a Serbian Italian match was called due to violence where fans who went off the deep end started throwing flares at a Serbian native goalie playing in the Italian jersey. I think it would be interesting to explore the cult almost that is surrounded by the soccer universe in Europe! It's no joke this soccer thing, it's more of a religion. it doesn't hurt that soccer players are scientifically the most gorgeous humans; proven fact! BOOM ROASTED!
