The Gonzaga baseball team entered the 2010 season as reigning WCC champions amid high expectations following the school’s first NCAA tournament victory since 1980. The Bulldogs were selected to finish fourth in the WCC pre-season baseball poll, but finished tied for fifth place with a 20-36 overall record and an 8-13 record in conference play to end the season.

There’s a new Web site devoted entirely to Zag Baseball. Launched by the marketing department of athletics, the site is currently selling tickets for Zags games, but those in the marketing department intend to do more with the site. “We will look to develop the site and enhance its features next season,” Director of Marketing, Matt Beckman said.
Every year the Gonzaga baseball team begins West Coast Conference play, it has defense on its mind. But this season, that goes beyond great catches and double plays on the diamond. The Bulldogs are looking to defend their first WCC title since joining the conference in 1996.
Awards and recognition can't satisfy Mark Castellitto
