Traditionally, the winter season is a time for celebration and fun. Those who celebrate winter holidays, like Christmas and Hanukkah, commonly do so with festive trees, decorations, meals with family and friends and opening up presents.
The holidays are also a time for giving. Spokane’s No-Li Brewhouse is celebrating this holiday season by giving back to its local community for 25 days straight to help bind the community together.
No-Li Brewhouse is a family-owned and fully independent brewhouse less than three blocks from Gonzaga University’s campus. Cole Bryant, finance and logistics manager of No-Li Brewhouse, said No-Li is one of Spokane’s most well-known breweries and has won 66 international medals since 2012.
From the beginning of December to Christmas day, No-Li Brewhouse has pledged to donate $1,000 a day to different local charities and nonprofits.
“We will raise awareness for these often under-recognized programs that are at the heart of our communities,” said the 25 Days of Christmas website. “We have expanded the program to include greater Spokane, N. Idaho, and Seattle area nonprofits!”
Last year, No-Li Brewhouse celebrated with 12 days of donations, donating $12,000. This year, thanks to the patron support of their signature No-Li craft beers, seltzers, and cocktails, No-Li has been able to expand to $25,000 with 25 days of donations.
“Last year, we featured 12 community non-profits that lift up, recognize and serve the underserved and marginalized in our communities,” said Jack Bryant, who works in marketing at No-Li Brewhouse. “12 Days wasn’t enough to honor the 50+ community charities that we work with and support throughout the year.”
Some of the local organizations supported include foster care organizations, violence safe-havens, food banks, and outreach centers. No-Li tries to stay up-to-date in finding ways to help and support local needs.
“The 25 charities were selected from over more than 50 non-profit organizations that we actively support financially throughout the year," Bryant said. "We have built close relationships with many area based non-profit organizations who make direct impacts in our local areas.”
Spokane is no stranger when it comes to its care for beer and its care for its community. According to Lawn Love, Spokane has been ranked No. 1 in the United States for being the best city for beer lovers.
VisitSpokane lists that there are 31 Beer and Breweries in the Spokane Area. Although each brewhouse is special in its own ways, No-Li Brewhouse stands out by contributing their own love and goodness to benefit the local communities.
“A strong community takes the commitment of each of us to give more than we take,” says Cindy Bryant, one of the owners of No-Li Brewhouse. “These 25 organizations exemplify this idea, reaching into our local neighborhoods to uplift our fellow citizens with respect, dignity, and caring.”
No-Li Brewhouse aims to serve the community by giving more than what they take while supporting the good people of Spokane through generous donations and great beer.
