Dressed to the nines, smiling from ear-to-ear, greeting strangers and friends alike with equal enthusiasm, Janice Catherine Michels, fondly known as Sr. Laura, blessed Gonzaga’s campus for over 30 years.
He was an adventurer, the first to dance and the friend to drop everything to lend a helping hand. He always found the humor and smelled like an Abercrombie & Fitch store. Chris Martin can be defined many ways but, without fail, is described as kind.
A friend, daughter, sister, aunt and first-generation student, Maribel Covarrubias will be remembered for her welcoming and dedicated personality that brightened the mood of all who crossed her path.
A helping hand, a wise mentor and the calm in the storm — Command Sgt. Maj. Thomas Williams embodied these characteristics to those who knew him. Williams passed away Feb. 7 after 30 years in the military and 20 years as an instrumental member of Gonzaga’s ROTC Bulldog Battalion.
