On Tuesday night, former Gonzaga women's basketball player Courtney Vandersloot, now with the WNBA's Chicago Sky, made history by breaking her own WNBA single-season assists record.

In a 93-85 loss to the Minnesota Lynx, Vandersloot tied last year’s mark of 258 during the second quarter and broke it at the beginning of the third. She finished the game with 10 assists. With four games remaining in the regular season, she has 263 assists.

“If it wasn’t for [my teammates], I would be getting zero assists,” she said in a statement. “So, I’m lucky to have a lot of threats on this team … It’s my job just to give it to them, they just do the rest."
