After participating in the NBA pre-draft combine, Gonzaga starters Drew Timme, Julian Strawther and Rasir Bolton will all be returning for another year in Spokane.
Timme was the last of the group to withdraw from the NBA Draft that will be held on Thursday, June 23.
Timme was one of the last players in the entire field to withdraw his name from consideration for the NBA Draft that will be held on Thursday, June 23, although Strawther and Bolton both waited until the final day as well.
In the final five-on-five scrimmage Timme participated in at the combine, he put up 21 points and four rebounds, shooting an impressive four for five from three-point range while making all seven of his free throws.
Strawther’s most impressive performance at the combine came in the lane agility drill, clocking in at No. 1 overall with a 10.30 second time ahead of teammate Andrew Nembhard.
With three starters returning and a mix of newcomers and transfers including Braden Huff and Efton Reid, Gonzaga’s roster is once again filled to the brim with talent. With other transfers like Chattanooga’s Malachi Smith rumored to make the move to Spokane, minutes will be hard to come by, particularly in the back court as Nolan Hickman and Hunter Sallis were penciled in as starters before the dust settled.
